giklzr ep4 – Financial crisis, mobile banking and cell phone signal jammer
In this episode we pretend to be economists and discussed the financial crisis and how it is effecting us. And the mobile banking which is due to come to Maldives in a near future. Also we discussed the long awaited payment gateway of Bank of Maldives and we reviewed a cool video podcast, WSYK (What should you know). And where you can get a small cell phone signal jammer.
Hosts: Shafiu and Shaff
Music: Andriod Rap (G1 Love)
ps: check with the respective authorities before buying a cell phone signal jammer. It could be illegal here in the Maldives.

I TOTALLY agree with you guys when you said we don’t need this proposed mobile banking system.
When I first heard about this project I was surprised they were even thinking about such a big leap. We are still a long way behind E and I commerce services in Maldives, we have to ask ourselves whether we even NEED a mobile banking system… and why spend so much money on this when most of the people are living below the poverty line.
Sure, mobile banking system sounds cool and all… and while we are at it, we should have a Maldivian space programme and send someone to the Moon as well.
Good episode. Keep up the good work.

@nass Totally agree on it. Mobile banking is super cool thing, but the question is, do we really need it.
@Ethan. You are welcome. Sadly Dhivehi is only spoken in the Maldives. But since our 2nd language is English, we have lots of english words in Dhivehi.

Speaking of this financial crisis, u guys must see the movie “Zeitgeist”.

Mobile banking should really be put on hold until mobile networks are more secure.
